Keeping your child healthy is an important responsibility. Good health involves more than the prevention of disease. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends that children need to be examined regularly to determine their height, weight and development status.
New Jersey State Law provides that residents of Closter are entitled to well baby pediatric care administered by the New Milford Board of Health. This program is for well children only, newborn through kindergarten age.
The Child Health Conference provides the following well baby care services: (1) Periodic physical examinations, (2) evaluation of Growth & Development, (3) immunizations for vaccine preventable diseases, (4) Screenings for hearing, vision, urine, lead, Tuberculosis and Anemia and (5) Counseling which encompass the many aspects of childhood.
The Child Health Conference meets at the New Milford Borough Hall, 930 River Road, New Milford, N.J. For further information, please call the New Milford Health Department, Public Health Nurse at 201-967-5044 X 7221.
